Buying or selling a home can be either a stressful experience or an amazing one. To make it an amazing experience, I believe you should have not only a trusted realtor, but a friend who shares the same character and principles as you. While each agent defines success differently, my success is based on lifelong client relationships and referrals, not dollar signs and rankings.
I grew up in Springfield/Eugene where I was raised to value great work ethics, personal integrity, professionalism and friendliness. I was extremely lucky to have had such a wonderful childhood full of important lessons and direction. By having cousins and grandparents a filbert orchard away, I realized the significance of family life and simplicity. I was also an avid soccer, tennis, and volleyball player. Through my athletic achievements, I was taught teamwork and dedication. Education was always a priority in my family as well, and even after my scholastic years, I?m still trying to learn something new whether it?s in my field or not.
My father is a General Contractor and growing up on his job sites made me comfortable and knowledgeable around residential building. I love the smell of walking through a freshly framed house and newly set carpet! After high school, I started college with the intent to acquire my teaching license. I planned to teach during the school year and build a home during summer vacations. Of course plans change and after graduating from Portland State with my Bachelor of Arts, I opened a tanning salon in John?s Landing (Portland) instead of going to graduate school.
Since 2006, my family and I have operated a successful tanning and airbrush business. I believe we surpassed the normal 1-2 year mark of failed businesses because of our commitment to our clients. While rankings aren?t important to me, I am impressed by our consumer?s reviews. They have led us to obtain, Best of Citysearch 2007 and 2008, Best of Portland 2008 and 2009, Portland?s Premier Airbrush tanning of 2009, and bask was placed in one of the top 250 tanning salons in the nation for 2009! By having systems in place, ACTUALLY CARING about our clients skin and wellbeing, by consistently maintaining an impeccable facility, and boasting a reputable airbrush service, we have helped our little baby grow into a thriving, competitive business.
Significantly, I carry these same skills into my real estate career. While it ?takes a village to raise a child?, this also pertains to making my client?s dreams of owning a house come true. I have a valuable team of mortgage lenders, a residential and commercial real estate lawyer, designer/stager, builder(s), photographer(s), and everything in between. When I need them, they?re there to help guide towards our final objective.
